Let's Go Horseback Riding

Try something a little different and see all the things you’re missing from your highway travel.

Our Wranglers would love to take you on a wonderful horseback ride through some of the most beautiful and majestic landscape Arizona has to offer. We ride on trails in the 10,000 acre Coconino National Forest which includes the scenic Arizona Trail, Fisher Point and Walnut Canyon. This entire area was the former home of cliff and cave dwelling Native Americans.

As you ride through the fragrant pine forest, just southwest of the Walnut Canyon National Monument, keep a watchful eye for a possible sighting of the cliff dwellers former homes. You may also see a bull elk, porcupine or bobcat as you head towards the beautiful Walnut Canyon. The entire area is designated semi-primitive and is non-motorized so you can enjoy the peaceful serenity of your surroundings.

If you want to experience the best horses, best scenery, best wranglers, and best horseback riding in the Grand Canyon/Flagstaff area, then you don't want to miss a day at Hitchin' Post Stables.

Call today and reserve your time to ride in this beautiful and historic wilderness.

We have a horse for every rider, whether you're 8 or 88..... we have the perfect mount for you. Ride through some of northern Arizona's most beautiful scenery. Feel at home with your expert wrangler as he or she guides you through breathtaking canyons and parks. If you watch closely, you may see wildlife in abundance. We know you will enjoy the ride on our top-quality animals.

"Just got back from our first horseback ride with Greg and it was awesome! The sights during our 2 hour ride were absolutely beautiful, and we were able to see a herd of elk on the way. Greg was a friendly tour guide, and made our first time riding comfortable and fun. Thank you! We'll sure to be back again, this time for a 3 hour ride! :)"
